Cliff Douglas comes from a musical background and started banging on a guitar from the age of 3 years, writing songs by the age of 9 and performing for the public in his early teens. Cliff Douglas (then known as Doug Lenard) has opened for some of Country Music’s finest; Moe Bandy, The Oak Ridge Boys, Hank Williams, Jr., Mickey Gilley, Asleep at the Wheel, Elvin Bishop, Jerry Jeff Walker, Frizzell and West, Kenny Price, Peter Rowan, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Ray Wiley Hubbard. Cliff Douglas continued to cut albums over the years and had some near misses with fame.

Somewhere in his twenties, Cliff Douglas decided that music wasn’t going to pay the bills and he turned to driving a truck. In the evenings and on the weekends, he would play gigs from Sioux Falls to Fresno and then drive a truck to pay the bills and support his recording habit. During that time, the musical talent couldn’t be suppressed and he continued to pen numerous songs and play his guitar. It is truly amazing the amount of songs contained in one mind!

Over the past several years, the archives have been searched and songs that everyone kept asking about were brought out and are now on this newest album. These songs will remind you of the times gone by, the truck drivers that keep this country moving and of the true heart and soul of Country Music.

Cliff Douglas is one of the finest country music talents in the world today. You ask me how I know? I have listened to country music for years and am always amazed by the talent and quality that comes forth in each and every song that is presented by this man. Besides, most importantly, I am Cliff Douglas’ wife!
